Some families that I work with throw together what they are going to wear a day or two before our photo shoot. Normally, it all serendipitously works out and beautiful portraits are created. But I think that when someone invests a little more time in the planning stage, as this momma does, it goes even better! Because of her planning-ability, we are able to do several wardrobe changes and leave snack times for the kids so that no one melts down. We begin the process over a month in advance, talking about colors, textures, locations. And then she does some shopping sends me photos of her ideas. This collaboration really sets the stage for making incredible photos. The rest is where the magic comes in! Two beautiful children, a lot of smiles and giggles, mom and dad snuggles, and even seeing a REAL choo choo train make for an amazing shoot! As much as I loved our last pictures of this family, I love these even more! I was so happy when the field that we were working in was full of yellow flowers.
PLEASE Fort Mill mowers, don’t mow the fields! Let that grass get tall and weedy flowers grow because they are SO beautiful in photos! (My little request on behalf of all of the Charlotte photographers out there that appreciate a little nature in their pictures!)
Thank you again R family, for choosing me as your photographer 🙂 I absolutely adore you, and I hope that you love your Spring/ Summer portraits as much as I do!
